Privately Operated Reference Site
Washtenaw County Court Docket is privately operated. It is not a court, clerk, or government agency, and it has no endorsement from or affiliation with one. It does not operate a docket, schedule hearings, or maintain an official case index. Court routing information points to the court holding the case, including Washtenaw County Trial Court / Court Services, the applicable district court, Probate Court, and MiCOURT Case Search.
Accuracy of Information
Courts and clerk offices may change addresses, phone numbers, hours, fees, and procedures, while case systems can change as court activity occurs. Although this resource aims to keep its routing information current, it cannot guarantee that every detail is accurate at a particular time. Confirm practical details directly with the court before visiting, paying, or filing.
Dockets Change: Verify Before You Rely
A docket changes as the court acts. A hearing can be moved, a case can be continued, dismissed, sealed, consolidated, or amended, and a later entry can alter the status displayed for a matter. A docket viewed at one time may not match the current record. Before relying on a court date, case status, or docket entry, confirm it with the court or clerk that holds the case.
Treat a docket entry as a starting point, not the final word. Only the court or clerk holding the case can confirm the current case history and whether a setting remains in effect.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. If a court date, filing deadline, case status, or disposition matters, obtain confirmation from the court that holds the record. An official or certified copy must come from the issuing court or clerk. A county FOIA request is not the default route for a court file because MCL 15.232 excludes the judiciary and a county clerk acting as clerk of the circuit court from that ordinary FOIA definition.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. The information describes ways to locate Washtenaw County and Michigan court resources, but it cannot replace advice from a licensed attorney about a pending case, deadline, filing, or ruling.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages include search boxes operated by third-party companies. We do not control the results, pricing, or data practices of those tools. Their results can be incomplete, out of date, or connected to the wrong case or person, and the FCRA restrictions stated above still apply.
Outbound Links
Links may lead to court, clerk, county, and statewide case-search resources. Washtenaw County Court Docket is not responsible for the content, availability, or accuracy of an external site.
No Records on This Site
This site does not host dockets, case files, court records, hearing calendars, or orders. The court of record keeps the underlying case material. To obtain a docket sheet, document, or certified copy, use the records process of the court that handled the case. Michigan's MCR 8.119 provides the general access framework for public trial-court records, subject to restrictions imposed by law, rule, order, sealing, or redaction.
